Nick Silberstein commenced at the North Sydney Medical Practice
on March 1st this year. Nick qualified in medicine at the University
of Western Australia in 1981.After obstetric, anaesthetic, general
practice and remote area training he spent twelve years as a rural
general practitioner in Western Australia.
In 1997 Nick joined the medical aid agency Médecins sans Frontières
and worked as a medical coordinator in a variety of developing world
locations up until the beginning of 2003. For the four years prior
to returning to Australia Nick worked as a general practitioner in
East London.
Nick holds fellowships of the Royal Australian College of General
Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote
Medicine; and diplomas in obstetrics, anaesthetics, tropical
medicine and family planning.
Nick is interested in all aspects of general practice including
child health, antenatal care, women’s and men’s health and travel
medicine.
